Turning Controversy Into Church Ministry

A Christlike Response to Homosexuality

Author: WP Campbell

Clear scriptural and scientific insight, sound logic, and practical advice to help Christians turn churches of any size into centers of ministry related to the divisive issue of homosexuality. This is a book for Christians who refuse to be paralyzed by endless debate in the church about the issue of homosexuality, while struggling people fall through the cracks. In Turning Controversy into Church Ministry, author and senior pastor Bill Campbell explains how churches—where the love of God and the wisdom of God's people can make a difference in society—can and should establish a safe place for people to understand and discuss struggles with same-sex attraction.

WP Campbell has been on the forefront of this type of ministry for more than twenty years and has much wisdom to share in this storehouse of information and insight, practical steps for action, and guidelines for the renewal of the church so that difficulty becomes opportunity and controversy becomes the launch pad for vital ministry. Back matter includes a list of books for further reading, questions for personal and small group reflection, and links to resources to support personal or congregational journeys.

Book Resources

Resources to supplement WP Campbell's book and to help you and your congregation create vital ministry and offer a Christlike response to homosexuality include: a small group study series, a church leadership training series, DVDs, guidelines for churchwide programs and more.
